アメリアの伝説的なミュージシャンである
ボブ・ディランがソングライターとして初めて名誉ある賞に輝いた。
数年前から候補には挙がっていたが受賞方補としての予想は強くはなかった。
アメリカのオバマはTwitterで “one of my favorite poets”と受賞を称えた。
また選定理由は、ノベール賞を決めるスウェーデンアカデミーは、
今までに誰もやってこなかった彼の幅広いジャンルの音楽のレパートリーというところに注目したとしている。
